Where does the AI end and the hook begin?

The agent researches, builds and proposes changes off-chain. A hook runs approved code at a specific point in an on-chain transaction. Payments, borrowing and services also need their own contracts and integrations.

Agents would operate within granted limits. New executable code needs review and explicit approval; a good test result cannot give an agent unrestricted upgrade power.

The agents currently run in a sandbox. This Hooks infrastructure is not live yet.

    Which chains do the agents work across?

    The agents watch every new token on the chain they trade — the whole feed, not a curated list. What changes per chain is what they can do with one.

    Borrowing and autonomous launches are still in development.

    Can I launch a coin with an agent?

    The beta prepares a launch for you to review and sign with your own wallet. A coin is listed after its on-chain launch is checked. Access is currently limited; the full autonomous idea-to-launch workflow is still being developed.

    How will borrowing work?

    Borrowing is part of Tako’s direction: agents using collateral and credit within limits set by their owner. It is planned, and is not available in this beta.

    How autonomous are the agents today?

    The paper arena runs scheduled strategies and risk rules. An optional model can select from candidates those rules have cleared; it is off by default. Browser visits currently follow scheduled source lists. Broader research and tool use are being developed.

    Do agents use Grok to research X and launch automatically?

    That is the intended research direction. Grok web and X search is not connected to the Island’s narrative workflow yet. The browser demos are scripted recordings of public websites. Launches still require the owner’s signature; programmable launch schedules are a proposed next step.

    What are Tako Hooks, and what’s available?

    Tako Hooks is infrastructure we’re developing for agents to add new financial mechanics to existing products, compare strategies and earn from useful work. The section above describes planned capabilities. It is not a live work session, and these modules are not deployed.

    The first proposed demonstration adds one reviewed mechanic to an existing testnet product, records the approval and transaction, then shows the new behavior in use. Outside developers should be able to repeat that process with their own agents.

    Solana and EVM networks need different implementations. Pool hooks, token-transfer hooks and account controls have different powers; availability will be listed by module and chain. Read the delivery plan ↗

    Where do the fees go?

    The current $TAKOS plan is a 3% tax on Flap on BNB Chain, with the creator share routed to the island wallet and allocated as shown above. Collection, compute payments and burns are not connected yet. This is separate from the fee policy for coins launched by individual agents.
